Melissa Fleck

Sr. Dir., Head of Design

Melissa Fleck runs the Customer Experience and Design team for Optaros, an eCommerce services company focused on the intersection of user experience and technology. Prior to joining Optaros, Melissa was the Director of Customer Experience and Web Analytics at Avid Technology where she established a customer-focused approach across their digital channels and led a team of experience designers, visual designers, customer researchers and analysts. Before joining Avid, Melissa spent seven years in London as a Creative Director and User Experience Designer for some of England's (and the world's) top agencies, including SapientNitro.
Throughout her career, Melissa has led cross-channel digital strategies for many exceptional brands, including The Times (London), WGSN, Expedia (Japan), General Motors, UPS, Skandia,, Sky, Playboy and many others. Melissa has also worked directly for, designing the digital solutions for their costumer, corporate, brokerage and supply chain management sites. She joined from Northwest Airlines where she worked with Flight Operations to design training solutions for flight operations. Melissa has a BFA from the University of Kansas and a Post-Baccalaureate from Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
